Mt. Hebron’s girls’ varsity basketball won over the Centennial Eagles tonight at Valhalla court. The Vikings came on strong from the jump ball; however, they seemed to lose energy as the first half progressed. At the end of the first half of play, the Vikings only led by three, 18-15. No matter, the Vikings held on and never gave up the lead. By the end of the third period, the Vikings extended their lead to ten, leading 31-21.
For the Vikings, senior forward Audrey Harrington racked up 17 points with senior Erin Dixon getting 12 and Danielle Bodziak close behind with 11. The Eagle’s senior guard Lauren Pellegrini had 11 points on the night.
