Victim in Jan. 19 shooting in Columbia dies; police increase reward

Police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information in the case.

The victim in the Jan. 19 shooting in Columbia, 21-year-old Zavian Hagins, has died. Howard County police are increasing their reward for information in the case to up to $5,000.

Police responded late Jan. 19 to a footpath near the 5200 block of Eliots Oak Road where they found Hagins, of Columbia, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital in critical condition and died Jan. 29.
