Carroll County could be seeing another round of snow roll in on Sunday January 16th. It does not look like a major snow event…but does look like white stuff will be falling from the sky on Sunday.

Confidence continues to increase in a significant winter storm Sunday afternoon into early Monday morning. Here is the updated winter storm threat level. More details on the forecast can be found at weather.gov/lwx/winter.
Here is the current forecast from NWS for Sunday (no snow amounts listed in the forecast from NWS at this time):
Sunday: A chance of snow after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 34. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Sunday Night: Snow before 1am, then rain and snow likely. Low around 25. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
M.L.King Day: A chance of snow before 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 39. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Looking at another resource…Weather.com…here is what they are currently calling for on Sunday:
Sunday: Partly cloudy in the morning then becoming cloudy with periods of snow later in the day. High near 30F. Winds E at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 70%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.
Sunday Night: Windy…cloudy with rain and snow in the evening changing to all rain overnight. Some sleet or freezing rain possible. Low 27F. Winds ENE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of precip 100%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.
Monday: Rain and snow tapering off in the morning. Mostly cloudy and windy in the afternoon. High 39F. Winds W at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of precip 70%. Higher wind gusts possible.
