It has been a while since we have seen updated COVID-19 numbers from the Howard County Public School System. Here is the latest information reported on January 12th:
As of Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, there are 722 students and 165 staff members in quarantine due to a positive COVID-19 test or as a close contact. These numbers will be updated every Wednesday by 11 AM.
Please note that close contact or quarantine does not indicate those students or staff have tested positive for COVID-19. See below for daily and 7-day totals of positive case numbers.
Here are the numbers reported back on December 22nd (6,142 students and 241 staff members in quarantine).

The 591 new cases reported this past week is lower than what was reported just before Winter Break (1,061 cases that week) on the HCPSS COVID-19 dashboard.
