It should not shock a single voter that the Majority Party has Gerrymandered the district I currently represent to keep the incumbent Democrat Senator. This is not just my opinion; it is a widely held fact.
District 9A, which currently includes roughly the northwestern half of Howard County and part of southern Carroll County, would lose Carroll County and instead include part of northern Montgomery County, potentially shoring up Senator Hester (Democrat-Howard) for reelection. https://reid4md.com/GerrymanderD9
This is the classic example of politicians choosing their voters versus voters choosing their public servants to represent their values.
I will not let this stand! I am running, to represent your values in the new Senate 9.
Marylanders who live in this region have expressed their desire for a Senator who is strong on parents’ rights in their children’s education, strong on supporting our police officers while being hard on criminals, and who helps keep their cost of living and cost of retirement down. I believe I am uniquely qualified to represent these core values in Annapolis.
This election in November of 2022 will be a clear choice for the voters of District 9. They can choose the status quo which will lead to further lock downs, virtual schooling, demoralizing police while being soft on criminals, with out-of-control spending or the complete opposite. I suggest we all take a new direction.
I promise to run the most open and active campaign to connect with each voter. I believe that it is the greatest honor of my life to have the ability to represent the constituents of District 9 and I hope you put your faith in my me.
