LISA KIM SUES QURRATUL-AIN HAIDER-SHAH (A/K/A AINY HAIDER-SHAH) FOR $2 MILLION FOR DEFAMATION
On November 22, 2021, Lisa Kim, Chairperson of Citizens for a Strong and Safe Howard County In Opposition to CB 63-2020 (“Sanctuary County Law”) filed a defamation lawsuit against Qurratul-Ain Haider-Shah, who goes by the alias of Ainy Haider-Shah, for making false and defamatory statements against Lisa Kim. Ms. Haider-Shah falsely and maliciously accused Lisa Kim of deceiving registered voters of Howard County to sign the referendum petition to put the Sanctuary County Law on the November 2022 ballot. Deceiving voters to sign a referendum petition is a criminal offense along with numerous collateral consequences.
According to Lisa Kim’s lawyer, Tae H. Kim, “We have shown, and will continue to show, that defamatory statements against my client will not be tolerated and we will pursue lawsuits against anyone who defames Lisa Kim. We look forward to litigating this matter and any other case where people believe they can defame someone without any basis for their defamatory statements.”

Lisa Kim has filed a 4th Defamation case in Howard County Circuit Court. This one was filed on November 22nd against Qurratul-Ain Haider-Shah (Ainy Haider-Shah – address match removed from the article after additional confirmation was obtained).
This one is early on in the proceedings so there is not a lot of information out there yet.
I will be reaching out to the parties involved to see if I can gather additional details for a future article.
Here is the latest update on the other three Defamation cases against a Howard County Podcaster, a Blogger, and an Elected Official:
- Vs Jennifer Solpietro: Case was not dismissed and is now scheduled for a Conference – Settlement on December 2nd (today) at 11:30am
- Vs Thomas Coale: Case dismissed then appealed. Case on-going:

I thought it was just me. I have always been left of center but the past year-year 1/2 has left me feeling like I’m in a political wilderness with no safe place to call “home”. I’m not happy living in this county, but I’m guessing that this is happening everywhere.

Incredible how a few vitriolic delusional folks imagine their brand of discourse is acceptable. There is something missing in their lives, they are truly against the nature of this great country.
