Continuing my school COVID-19 updates…Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS) is reporting 239 active cases of COVID-19 on December 1st. These numbers are updated every Wednesday of each week. Here is the breakdown of the numbers this week:
- 235 Students
- 4 Staff
Note: Numbers reflect active confirmed positive cases for each week. As a result, these students and staff are in quarantine.
CCPS is also reporting the “Quarantined” number on their dashboard. This week that number is 325. Last week that number was 605. The week before that number was 558.
Note: Quarantine data reflect the number of individuals required to quarantine because they are a close contact to a Positive COVID-19 case. The quarantine data do not reflect individuals in quarantine because they are COVID positive.
Here is a look at the COVID-19 numbers over the past 13 weeks on the dashboard:
Not listed on the dashboard: On September 17th CCPS had 803 students in quarantine
The number of “CCPS Positive Totals” has now risen for six consecutive weeks.
The number of students/staff (individuals) in “Quarantine Only” is the lowest ever reported on the CCPS COVID-19 Dashboard.
