Thanks to the Community Media Center of Carroll County we have some great clips from the South Carroll victory over Harford Tech in the 2021 Semifinals of the MPSSAA Class 2A/1A State Football Tournament on November 26th.
Here are some of the keys to the victory for South Carroll from that game:
- With the game tied at 7 with 31 seconds left in the first half: Harford Tech has the ball 4th and goal from South Carroll’s 3 yard line - South Carroll makes an incredible goal line stand to keep the game tied going into the half (1:38 mark of the video clip)
- Harford Tech takes the lead 13 to 7 in the 4th quarter with 5:25 left in the game. On the extra point attempt there was a bad snap from the long snapper to the extra point holder and Harford Tech does not convert the extra point after the TD (1:59 mark of the video clip)
- South Carroll has the ball with 2:15 to play in the game - it is 4th down and the season on the line. South Carroll completes a pass down field that goes for a TD. South Carroll kicks the extra point to take the lead 14 to 13 (2:14 mark of the video clip)
- Hardord Tech has the ball on 2nd down with 1:51 to play in the game trailing by 1 point. The Harford Tech QB launches a pass deep down the left side of the field but the South Carroll Defense is there and gets the interception the clinch the win (2:32 mark of the video)
