Seven schools from Howard County participated in six games in the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) State Football Tournament – Regional Second Round…here are the results:

MPSSAA Class 4A/3A State Football Tournament: 4A/3A West

#2 Mt. Hebron 14 | Urbana 38

#5 Howard 9 | #1 Seneca Valley 45

This eliminates all Howard County Schools from the 4A/3A tournament.

#1 Atholton 27 | #4 River Hill 3

MPSSAA Class 3A State Football Tournament: 3A East

#2 Long Reach 12 | #3 Chesapeake 39

A look at the next round: Teams are reseeded in the next round. Atholton is the #3 seed for the remainder of the tournament and will now take on Chesapeake next week:
