In a social media post on November 9th from Governor Larry Hogan:
In 2020, Carroll County reached the milestone of preserving over 75,000 acres of farmland—more than any county in the state. I was honored to accept a beautiful painting from Secretary Bartenfelder of the Maryland Department of Agriculture today on behalf of Carroll County in commemoration of this great achievement.
Our administration remains committed to conserving Maryland’s precious farmland as we continue to invest in our agriculture industry.
