Update: Most Buses In Howard County Returning To Normal Operation The Afternoon Of November 8th

Additional update from HCPSS:

Most Buses Returning to Normal Operation This Afternoon

Dear HCPSS Parent/Guardian,

All HCPSS scheduled buses except for the following three buses will be operating this afternoon for dismissal. Students who ride the following buses will need alternative transportation home from school this afternoon:

Bus #16 serving Atholton HS and Hollifield Station ES

Bus #43 serving Folly Quarter MS and Dayton Oaks ES

Bus #757 serving Centennial HS, Burleigh Manor MS and Hollifield Station ES

HCPSS appreciates the bus drivers and contractors who worked with us to resolve this issue quickly.

Article Update: Maybe they got a lot of this issue resolved today. Howard County Board of Education member Vicky Cutroneo shared the following update at 1:31pm:

In an email sent out to HCPSS families:

Dear HCPSS Parent/Guardian,

HCPSS staff have continued to work with our bus contractors in an effort to resolve the bus disruptions that occurred this morning. HCPSS contractors are working with drivers to restore as many routes as possible for this afternoon’s dismissal, however, please note that it is highly unlikely that every route will be restored. If your child’s bus did not arrive this morning, please ensure your child has an alternative transportation option this afternoon.
