I know I am a little late getting this out…but continuing my school COVID-19 updates…Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS) is reporting 164 active cases of COVID-19 on November 3rd. These numbers are updated every Wednesday of each week. Here is the breakdown of the numbers this week:
- 160 Students
- 4 Staff
Note: Numbers reflect active confirmed positive cases for each week. As a result, these students and staff are in quarantine.
CCPS is also reporting the “Quarantined” number on their dashboard. This week that number is 508. Last week that number was 407. The week before that number was 340.
Note: Quarantine data reflect the number of individuals required to quarantine because they are a close contact to a Positive COVID-19 case. The quarantine data do not reflect individuals in quarantine because they are COVID positive.
Here is a look at the COVID-19 numbers over the past 9 weeks on the dashboard:
Not listed on the dashboard: On September 17th CCPS had 803 students in quarantine
The rise in numbers over the past 2 weeks is a little concerning but hopefully the “Authorization of COVID-19 Vaccines for 5- to 11-Year-Olds” helps bring these numbers down significantly in the near future.
