Howard County Police report a handgun was used in a Carjacking in Columbia on October 26th; One juvenile suspect arrested

Noted in the Howard County Police Daily Crime Bulletin, Wednesday, October 27, 2021


Columbia, 21044: 5400 block of Harpers Farm Road, Oct. 26 10:31 a.m.

An adult male victim reported that he was in his vehicle when two male suspects with their faces partially covered approached. One suspect displayed a handgun, assaulted the victim, and demanded the vehicle. The victim and two other passengers exited the vehicle and the suspects drove off. Police responded, located the vehicle nearby, and arrested one suspect. No serious injuries were reported.

ARRESTED: juvenile male, 16, of Baltimore, charged as an adult with armed carjacking, robbery, motor vehicle theft, assault, and weapon violations
