5:56pm: Units are on scene 6500 block of Mare Ct in western Howard County with a basement fire. Units are operating in the offensive strategy. No injuries reported at this time.
6:24pm: All visible fire has been knocked. Crews are trying to get a handle on a deep seated fire with over 10,000 gallons of water. Rural Water operations provide an extra layer of difficulty to house fires.
7:16pm: Significant damage reported, fire was brought under control with aggressive operations despite several water supply challenges. 1 civilian injury reported, patient was transported by P56 for burn injuries to hands/ arms. 1 firefighter evaluated for non-life threatening injuries.
9:56pm: Incident is demobilizing. The special operations team is now on scene to aid in shoring the structure for safety. Firefighters and paramedics worked for hours to contain the fire. 1 civilian was transported with burn injuries.
