UPDATE (10/13/21): Police are identifying the victim’s in the Oct. 12 shooting in Columbia. Michael Lokougna, 18, of Columbia, who was located near the apartment complex, is in serious condition at Shock Trauma. Aboubacar Diabate, 22, of Berwyn Heights, who was located on Hickory Ridge Road, is in critical condition at Shock Trauma.

Police investigating non-fatal shooting in Columbia
Two victims were transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in critical condition.
Howard County police are investigating a shooting in Columbia in which two people were injured.
At approximately 5:50 p.m., police responded to the 10600 block of Gramercy Place for a report of shots fired. Police located a male victim near the apartment complex suffering from gunshot wounds. About a half-mile from that location, on Hickory Ridge Road near Martin Road, police located a second male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in critical condition.
Police recovered a gun at each location. It is unclear if anyone else was involved in the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
