Employee pepper sprayed and assaulted during robbery at JCPenney in Columbia on September 22nd

Noted in the Howard County Police Daily Crime Bulletin, Thursday, September 23, 2021:

Robbery

Columbia, 21044: JCPenney, 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway, Sept. 22 7:21 p.m.

A store employee reported that he approached a male suspect who had stolen merchandise. The suspect then pepper sprayed and assaulted the employee before fleeing. No serious injuries were reported.

SUSPECT: Black male in his late teens-early 20s, approximately 5ā€™3ā€ with a thin build wearing a black pants and a red shirt
