Carroll County Politics: Candidate Committee Registration review shows a new entity for Thomas Scanlan

A new candidate committee has been registered for Thomas Richard Scanlan (Scanlan for Education) established September 7th:

Based on the name of the committee I would guess (and this is only a guess as a filing for office has not happened yet) that this member of the community may seek election to the Carroll County Board of Education in 2022.

I reached out to Tom Scanlan on Facebook and he confirmed he was the correct person and would reach back out “once things get rolling”.

Currently there is one candidate that has filed to run for Carroll County Board of Education: Tara Battaglia

I will keep an eye out for additional filings of campaign finance committees and candidate filings during the 2022 election cycle.
