Free festival features live music, craft beer, kid’s activities, and more

Ellicott City Partnership is pleased to announce that the 8th annual Main Street Music Fest, Maryland’s first and largest unsigned emerging artist music festival, will be held on Saturday, September 18th throughout the historic Main Street area. The fun starts at noon and features 3 outdoor stages, 5 indoor venues, 8 hours of live musical acts, local craft beer, food, wine, and family friendly fun. Inspired in 2011 by the desire to celebrate the best indie artist talent the Mid Atlantic has to offer, the festival offers an eclectic blend of artists offering rock through the ages, blues, funk, soul, jazz, Americana and acoustic singer songwriters.

“Main Street Music Fest is a truly one-of-a-kind event, and not just for Ellicott City,” said Executive Director of the Ellicott City Partnership, Chris Pineda. “We’re thrilled to safely welcome the musicians, vendors, families, fans, and foodies who are looking for something truly original to attend this fall. We’re ready to make this year’s Main Street Music Fest one to remember and to remind the world all the good that Old Ellicott City has to offer.”

The festival highlights include:

  • Main Street Stage with headliner Kelly Bell Band
  • Homegrown Stage with headliner Foreplay
  • 40+ additional bands throughout the day
  • Local craft beer from Manor Hill Brewery and Jailbreak Brewing Co.
  • Dozens of food trucks, specialty eateries and craft artisan vendors
  • Meet local artists and see demos at the Artists’ Village at Clayground Studio & Gallery
  • Kids activities and face painting
  • Dining and shopping at 70+ one-of-a-kind businesses throughout the historic district
