Maryland State Senator Justin Ready (District 5) filed to run for re-election on August 18th. Here is the filing information:
Senator Ready posted the following update on social media yesterday:
This morning in Annapolis, joined by Ruth, Brooklyn and Caleb, I officially filed to run for re-election. I don’t make this decision lightly - I’m running to keep energetically fighting for conservative principles and bring real reform to our state. Maryland should be a place where families and retirees can afford to live and job creators can thrive, where we feel safe in our communities and where our kids learn about the struggles, sacrifice and ideals that make America great. I hope you’ll join our campaign as we get moving in the weeks and months ahead. I’ll share information on how to get involved soon. Thank you as always for the honor of serving in the State Senate!
A little background
In the 2018 Primary Justin Ready ran unopposed.
