As an update to “Mask Mandates in Maryland Schools: What we know up to this point“…on August 4th Anne Arundel County Public Schools announced that “Indoors, all students and staff – regardless of age or vaccination status – will be masked except in limited circumstances”.
Here are the details of that section of the announcement:
This brings the number of school systems requiring masks this upcoming school year to eight and one school system “encouraging masks”. Here is my updated list:
Requiring masks for students and staff:
- Anne Arundel County
- Baltimore County
- Baltimore City
- Charles County
- Frederick County
- Howard County
- Montgomery County
- Prince George’s County
Encouraging the use of face masks by students and staff who are not vaccinated:
- Queen Anne’s County
