The following information is from Downtown Sykesville Connection:

The Let Freedom Ring parade will start at 10 am that day (July 3rd), beginning at Sykesville Middle School and proceeding down Springfield Avenue and the length of Historic Main Street, with floats and vehicles accompanying the approximately 30 participants marching in units and organized groups.

Parade floats will be judged by a panel of female judges and awards for floats will be announced after the parade. The parade should be over just in time for lunch and ice cream downtown Sykesville.

Independent We Stand‘ will officially award the Downtown Sykesville Connection the title of Best Main Street in America to kick off the  2021 Let Freedom Ring Parade! Now that you have rested your voting hands Sykesville, time to create floats, decorate bikes, and get ready for the celebration!

Sykesville Police Department shared this information on Facebook:

Main Street and Springfield Avenue, as well as any side roads that lead to Main Street and Springfield will be closed to traffic from 9:30 am until 12:00 pm for this event.
