On May 26th Darren Vilus filed to run for Howard County Council in District 4 (on the Republican side of the race). This is the first official filing of any local candidate running in Howard County in 2022.
There are no social media accounts or a website listed for this campaign as of this article.

Deb Jung is the current County Councilmember in District 4. There currently is no official word if she will seek reelection in 2022 (that I have seen).
