Here are my weekly COVID-19 charts that will provide you a look at the trends in 2021 to date:

Here is the weekly look at the number of COVID-19 cases:

Weekly look at the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Maryland:

Weekly look at the number of people “hospitalized” in Maryland:

Number of people currently hospitalized in Maryland:

Positivity rate for Maryland, Howard County and Carroll County:

Vaccine distribution by week in Maryland, Howard County and Carroll County:

My Notes:

It is very much a mixed set of numbers this week. New cases are up slightly in Maryland and Howard County but Carroll County had a drop in new cases. Deaths due to COVID-19 remained steady. Those being hospitalized and currently in the hospital across the state were down this past week. Positivity rates in Maryland and Howard County are higher but Carroll County saw a significant drop. Vaccine distribution was higher across the state but lower in Howard County and Carroll County this past week.

If interested in the data, be sure to check out my Google Tracking Spreadsheet (Note – I am only updating the numbers in the weekly and monthly tabs right now – there are plenty of resources out there for the daily numbers):   https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1feQ7tUQyizlHbeqm-nYJuXVKDXb_vgZOmzJ829k8xqA/edit?usp=sharing
