River Hill and Mt. Hebron’s JV football teams finally met last night after their game was rescheduled due to thunderstorms last Friday the 9th. The Hawks started out strong with sophomore’s Nicholas Lancashire scoring a rushing touchdown mid-way through the first quarter, then Bergen Remick scoring the second about five minutes after that. With less than four minutes left on the second quarter clock, Lancashire scored another touchdown. However, in those last few minutes before the end of the half, Hebron scraped together three rushing touchdowns: the first by Cooper Stockenberg, and the remaining two by Aidan Hauf. This left the score tied at 20-20 at halftime, as each time had scored a two-point conversion as well. However, Lancashire stuck again, scoring another touchdown and bringing the Hawks up to 26 points. The Hawks dominated the ball for the entirety of the third quarter, with Mt. Hebron barely moving from the 50-yard line. The last points of the game were scored by Hawk MBJ Motoni, ending the game with a Hawk win of 32-20.

River Hill’s JV season record is currently 4-1, and Mt. Hebron’s is 2-1. When asked for a statement, Hawk scorers Lancashire, Remick, and Motoni all agreed that “we had five touchdowns but we couldn’t have done it without the push of our line.”
