Mt. Hebron’s Vikings came out on top over Atholton’s Raiders on March 23rd. The Raiders started out strong, with junior Sadie Saula scoring the first goal just five minutes into the first half. About twenty minutes later, the Raider’s Allison Lubitz scored goal number two. The Vikings, however, made a strong comeback, with junior Adithi Arun, assisted by Jessie Barke, scoring Hebron’s first goal just a minute after that, then their second goal by captain Riley Benson with just forty seconds left in the first half. This left the two teams tied going into the second half. And, about twelve minutes into the second half, the Viking’s Katelyn Hanks scored their third, and the last, goal of the game. Although the Raiders tried to score another and take the lead, they were unable to make it past the Viking’s defense.

This brings the Vikings record to 4-1, where they will next play the Wildecats on March 25th at Wilde Lake High School. The Raiders, who are now at 2-4, will next face off against the Oakland Mills Scorpions, also on March 25th.
