Mt. Hebron’s Vikings remain undefeated after last night’s JV volleyball match against the River Hill Hawks. Although the Hawks put up a good fight, they were unable to defeat the Vikings, putting their season record at 4-2. The first set of the night ended with a Viking victory at 25-19, with the Hawks scoring four continuous points- bringing them from a 16 to 19- before the Vikings were able to score the final point of the set. In the second set, the Hawks won 25-20, and in the third the Vikings again 15-9. Notable Viking stats from the match include captain Katie Noppenberger, #8, who had three aces, four kills, and eight digs; Madeline Finkelstein, #10, who racked up fifteen assists, as well as an ace and a dig; and Lauren Roselle, #17, who had seven kills, three digs, and two blocks.
Up next, the vikings will face off against Wilde Lake’s Wildecats, and the Hawks will meet Centennial’s Eagles. Both games will occur on March 24th at 6:45pm.
