Howard County Executive Update on Department of Corrections ICE Contract 

 Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will provide an update on the status of the Howard County Department of Corrections’ federal contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Tuesday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. Ball will be joined by CASA De Maryland Executive Director Gustavo Torres, and Howard Coalition for Immigrant Justice members Laurie Liskin and Leslie Salgado. 

“As I’ve made clear before, it is our policy to proactively revisit and evaluate the ICE contract with the Howard County Department of Corrections,” said Ball. “When we last adjusted our contract in October 2020, I promised to keep our community updated on the next steps and any actions moving forward.”
