The Reservoir boys’ soccer team traveled to Hammond High School on Thursday 3/18 for a nail-biter of a match, as the referees handed out a full deck of yellow cards to both teams in this volatile duel. Reservoir scored two goals in the first half for a comfortable 2-0 lead, but Hammond’s Joel San Martin answered in the second half with two goals of his own to even the score, as Reservoir lost a player to a red card. Neither team could score in the first 10-minute overtime period, but Reservoir found their golden goal to win 3-2 in the second overtime period.
