Howard County Police make an arrest in an armed carjacking in Columbia on March 1st

Noted in the Howard County Police Daily Crime Bulletin, Tuesday, March 2, 2021


Columbia, 21044: 10000 block of Town Center Avenue, March 1 8:06 p.m.

An adult female victim reported that she was in her vehicle when she was approached by two suspects who displayed a handgun and demanded her vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects drove off in the vehicle. No one was injured. Police responded, located the vehicle on Route 175, and attempted to stop it before it fled. The vehicle crashed in a neighboring jurisdiction and police arrested the occupants.

ARRESTED: Alexus Shantel Scott, 25, of Oakford Avenue in Baltimore, and Khaliq Nafi Wright, 18, of N. Bentalou Street in Baltimore, charged with armed carjacking, armed robbery, assault, motor vehicle theft, and weapon violations

  1. The HCPD solved a crime? Usually not capable even when you hand the info to them on a silver platter? And where did they get the sudden infusion of courage? Did the Fusion Center really allow them to do their jobs? They are usually too busy protecting Fusion Center criminals and bullies attacking innocent people for show. What a surprise… shock, really.
