This is my fourth monthly COVID-19 data article. In 2021 I am tracking data statewide for Maryland as well as Howard County and Carroll County.

I plan to provide additional charts in the future as I continue to gather additional data (COVID-19 vaccination charts will be added next month).

All data in these charts comes from the Maryland Department of Health COVID-19 dashboard or state data sets and is updated in my 2021 Google Spreadsheet.

I thought I would start with the data and numbers from Maryland:

Summary Data (Maryland):

New COVID-19 Cases (Maryland):

Deaths Due To COVID-19 (Maryland):

Ever Hospitalized Due To COVID-19 (Maryland):

Note – This comes from the “Ever Hospitalized” data on the dashboard.

Summary Data (Carroll County):

New COVID-19 Cases (Carroll County):

Deaths Due To COVID-19 (Carroll County):

Note- The data set for this information did not go back earlier than April 2020. I would say that the number of new deaths noted for May is a culmination of March and April data.

Summary Data (Howard County):

New COVID-19 Cases (Howard County):

Deaths Due To COVID-19 (Howard County):

Those are the charts I have through February 2021. As stated previously I do plan on adding additional charts in future months. If you have other suggestions let me know.

One of the charts I will be adding in March will be total vaccinations administered for Maryland, Howard County and Carroll County. Here is the data I have to date:

The data in the charts above represents what is reported on the last day of each month on the Maryland Department of Health COVID-19 dashboard.

Here are important links with data on Coronavirus (COVID-19) numbers I use regularly:

Note: Daily COVID-19 updates going forward will only happen when something significant needs to be reported during the week. Weekly weekend charts will continue to happen on Saturday or Sunday and will be specific to new data points I am developing in 2021. Monthly charts will happen around the 1st of each month (or as quickly as I can given my schedule).
