Howard County Executive to Provide Vaccination Update
Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will provide an update on the County’s vaccination efforts on Tuesday, February 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Howard Community College (HCC) Athletics and Fitness Center. Ball will be joined by Howard County Health Officer Dr. Maura Rossman, HCC President Dr. Kate Hetherington, Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano, Howard County General Hospital (HCGH) Interim President Dr. Shafeeq Ahmed, Department of Fire and Rescue Chief William Anuszewski, and Department of Community Resources and Support (DCRS) Director Jacqueline Scott. The event will also be streamed on Facebook live.
“We’ve made great progress, and the Health Department continues to be one of the most efficient jurisdictions when it comes to getting shots in arms,” said Ball. “However, we still have many challenges, including a vaccine supply that has decreased over the past three weeks. We know that many in our community are eagerly looking forward to getting vaccinated.”
