Noted on the Carroll County Public Schools Reopening and Recovery Plan webpage:
Information Regarding Additional Days a Week of In-Person Instruction
At the February 10 Board of Education meeting, the Board voted to begin offering more days a week of in-person instruction beginning on or before Monday, March 22. The Career and Technology Center, Carroll Springs School, Crossroads Middle, and Gateway School would be open 5 days a week with all other schools opening 4 days a week. Wednesday would remain a virtual day for all students. Students and families will still have the virtual option available to them.
The Board has scheduled an updates meeting on Wednesday, February 24, at 5:00 p.m. to discuss the revised plan and prioritize the timeline for returning students back to school 4 or 5 days a week. Please keep in mind that implementation of this revised plan must be approved by the Maryland State Department of Education.
We ask for your patience and understanding as we continually work through these challenges as they arise. You can expect continued communication from your child’s school and/or the system throughout. In the coming weeks, schools will be reaching out to re-assess student participation as we transition to this new model.

Carroll County Public Schools returned to the hybrid model of instruction on January 7, 2021 – allowing for students to return to in-person instruction two days a week in established cohorts.
