That status of HCPSS has changed this morning to the following:
Virtual Instruction; Buildings Closed
All in-person evening activities involving HCPSS students and staff are canceled. In addition, all community-sponsored programs in HCPSS buildings are canceled. If there is a Board of Education meeting scheduled, it is canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
- Instruction: Virtual for all students, as scheduled
- Meal Service: Canceled
- Buildings: Closed
- Athletics: Canceled
Staff
- All employees (other than groups listed below) report virtually on time.
- AFSCME: Report as scheduled.
- AMT: Emergency employees report as directed by their supervisors.
- 5th Unit: Emergency employees report as directed by their supervisors.
- Food/Nutrition Services: Employees do not report to work.

A review of the social media accounts for HCPSS did not show this update as of 4:30am on February 2nd.
I would keep an eye on the https://status.hcpss.org/ page in case something changes later this morning. We had a little more snow last night / this morning. It is actually still snowing right now at my house in Columbia (not hard but white stuff is falling from the sky). Here is a look at the sidewalks and street in my neighborhood at 4:30am:
