Howard County Executive Ball to Update Community on Vaccination Phase 1B
Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will provide an update on vaccination Phase 1B on Tuesday, January 19, at 12:30 p.m. at the Howard Community College Athletics & Fitness Center. Ball will be joined by Howard County Health Officer Dr. Maura Rossman, Howard Community College (HCC) President Dr. Kate Hetherington, Howard County General Hospital (HCGH) Interim President Dr. Shafeeq Ahmed, Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano, Department of Community Resources and Services (DCRS) Director Jacqueline Scott, and Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services (HCDFRS) Chief William Anuszewski.
“I want the message to be clear – when Howard County receives more vaccine, we get shots in arms immediately,” said Ball. “We’re working around the clock to rapidly scale up vaccination clinics and vaccinate up to 20,000 people per week. As we’ve known since the start of this pandemic, it’s going to take all of us working together to get to the other side of this.”
