The Maryland Department of Health dashboard is reporting 141 new cases of COVID-19 in Howard County on January 1, 2021. The total number of reported COVID-19 cases in Howard County is now 11,363.

This is the third consecutive day where the number of new cases has been above 100. Here is the data over the past three days for Howard County:

141 new cases in a single day is the 6th highest number of new cases in one day for Howard County:

  • 165 (November 26)
  • 158 (December 5)
  • 156 (December 10)
  • 151 (December 4)
  • 148 (December 12)
  • 141 (December 24 and January 1)

November 17th was the first time more than 100 new cases in a day was reported in Howard County (102). Howard County has exceed 100 new cases in a day 18 times.

Other data reported today from the state:

3,557 new COVID-19 cases is the second highest ever reported in the state of Maryland (3,792 reported on December 4th).
