Howard County Executive Ball to Launch “StayCOVIDSafe” Campaign

In an effort to amplify messaging during the holidays and winter, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball is launching the “StayCOVIDSafe” campaign on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. outside the George Howard Building. The County Executive will be joined by Dr. Maura Rossman, Howard County Health Officer and Mike Hinson, Director of the Office of Emergency Management. Additionally, Ball will recognize Kathleen Koch and Leila Mahlin for their work with Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) supporting Howard County residents throughout the year. The event will also be livestreamed on the County Executive’s Facebook page.

“We recognize that there is COVID-19 fatigue amongst everyone. The reminders to wear a mask, stay six feet apart, and wash our hands are becoming background noise,” said Ball. “Today, I’m launching the StayCOVIDSafe campaign to communicate clearly and ensure that our residents understand the increased risks during this statewide spike in cases and have access to the tools to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.”
