Handguns displayed in two robberies in Columbia on December 8th

Noted in the Howard County Police Daily Crime Bulletin, Wednesday, December 9, 2020


Columbia, 21046: 9000 block of Snowden Square Drive, Dec. 8 2 p.m.

An adult male victim reported that he was sitting in his parked vehicle when he was approached by a male suspect who displayed the handgun. The suspect demanded cash and the victim complied. The suspect then fled in a vehicle with another male suspect. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

SUSPECTS: two black males, one approximately 5ā€™10ā€ with dreadlocks wearing a black jacket, no further description on the other suspect

Columbia, 21045: Verizon, 6400 block of Dobbin Center Way, Dec. 8 4:40 p.m.

A store employee reported that two male suspects with their faces partially covered entered the store and one suspect displayed a handgun. The suspects then stole merchandise and cash before fleeing. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

SUSPECTS: two black males, one with a medium build wearing a black hooded jacket and black pants, the second with a gray hooded jacket and black pants

  1. Police should have reinforced capacity to patrol and monitor all the malls and shopping centers during this period of time and be able to apprehend these criminals . What is high commissioner Ball doing about the safety of Howard County citizens? How many more victims should we have before he is reacting. Obviously not very proactive about this increase criminality in our county.
