The Maryland Department of Health is reporting 151 new cases of COVID-19 in Howard County on December 4th. This is the second highest number of new cases added in one day for Howard County. 165 new cases of COVID-19 was reported for Howard County back on November 26th. This is the 7th time since November 17th Howard County has had more than 100 new cases of COVID-19 reported in a day.

Here are days with the most new cases in Howard County (per the Maryland Department of Health dashboard):

  • November 26th: 165 new cases
  • December 4th: 151 new cases
  • November 21st: 139 new cases
  • November 27th: 114 new cases
  • November 17th: 105 new cases

Other significant information reported today include:

  • 3 deaths due to COVID-19 in Howard County over the past 24 hours
  • Howard County now has a positivity rate of 6.41%
  • 3,792 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Maryland in the past 24 hours (the most ever reported in one day)
  • Maryland in now reporting a positivity rate of 8%
