The Maryland Department of Health dashboard reported 707 beds in use due to COVID-19 on November 9th. This is the highest number Maryland has seen since July 16th (742 beds in use on that day):

The number of beds in use due to COVID-19 has risen by 75 since Saturday.

The dashboard is also now reporting a testing positivity rate of 5.05% (7-day positive rate)…(up 0.43% from yesterday). June 23rd was the last time the 7 day positivity rate was this high in Maryland.

The state has reported 1,000 or more new cases per day for six consecutive days.

Here in Howard County the number of new cases rose by 74 since yesterday. This is the highest one day increase (as reported by the state) since June 11th (when 91 new cases were noted on the dashboard for Howard County).
