County Executive Ball to Join Virtual Veterans Day Parade

County Executive Calvin Ball will join the Howard County Veterans Foundation and Columbia Association for the 6th Annual Veterans Day Parade at the Columbia Lakefront on Sunday, November 8th at 9:30 a.m. The parade will be streamed online for residents to watch at www.howardcountyveterans.org/parade/.

“Howard County is home to more than 22,000 veterans, who served our country with conviction and courage,” said Ball. “Our veterans deserve our support and appreciation every day of the year, especially as many of our veterans may be more isolated this year during the pandemic. I encourage residents to join us online as we give our thanks to our veterans for their sacrifices and dedication to the betterment of our community and country.”

The Howard County Veterans Foundation, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball and The Columbia Association are proud to host the 6th Annual Howard County Veterans Day Celebration.
This year, we honor “The Year of the Woman” by highlighting Women Veterans and Military Family Members. The MC for our event this year will be Ms. Jamie Gillette, Veteran Spouse. In addition, CAPT Wanda Riddle USN (retired) will lead us in a ceremony to honor our Veterans.

As part of an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we will not have our traditional lakefront community celebration. Instead we will be livestreaming the event on our website:
