Neighbor Ride, Inc. is a 16-year-old Howard County non-profit that offers seniors (age 60 and over) transportation to medical appointments, faith activities, shopping, and social outings. The drivers are volunteers who have been thoroughly screened by Neighbor Ride to provide safe and secure transportation. The success of Neighbor Ride has shown that providing seniors with assistance from neighbors they trust goes a long way in fostering healthy outcomes.

Bruce Fulton, Executive Director of Neighbor Ride says that, “Given the circumstances of the pandemic coming this winter, we feel it is especially important this year to make sure we work hard to help seniors get their flu shots early.  By offering a FREE ride to their provider of choice through the comfort and peace of mind afforded by our Neighbor Ride volunteers, we hope to increase the accessibility of the flu vaccine and alleviate any unnecessary stress involved with the process.”
