The Howard County Health Department reports (via their COVID-19 Dashboard) less than 10 beds in use due to patients with COVID-19 on August 17th. Here is what was reported today:

  • COVID-19 patients in ICU: 2
  • COVID-19 patients in Acute Care: 6

I believe (and someone correct me if I am wrong) that this is the first time since April 7th when the total beds in use was below 10 (it was 9 on April 7th – 3 ICU and 6 Acute Care).

This is a nice milestone and I believe we all hope this number remains this low or gets even lower.
