Maryland Department of Health reports 3,881 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Howard County and 96,258 cases in Maryland on August 10th. Maryland added 755 new cases and Howard County added 35 new cases of COVID-19 in the past day.

The statewide COVID-19 testing positivity rate is now 3.62% and Howard County is at 2.97%.

  1. That’s great news; I hope we can keep it up! We took an evening walk around Lake Kittamaqundi this weekend and no more than 1/4 of the folks there were wearing masks. It’s outdoors, but it’s tough to maintain 6′ distance on the narrow path, particularly with folks buzzing close by as they jog, roller-blade, bike, or hoverboard. If we want to get everyone back to work and school quickly, it would help a lot if everyone would mask up in public spaces.
