The Ale House in Columbia has posted the following update on Facebook:
We would like to update the community on the steps we have taken here at The Ale House Columbia after finding out about a positive COVID-19 test for an employee of ours.
Since yesterday, we have been closed to the public. We have been in contact with the Howard County Department of Health and have made them aware of the situation. We have also engaged the services of ServPro to professionally disinfect and extensively clean all reachable and touchable surfaces throughout the property, as well as to fog the entire space with a food safe aerosol disinfectant. This process began this afternoon and will take several hours to complete.
We feel confident, that we and our staff have been hyper vigilant in adhering to all CDC, State of Maryland, and Howard County guidelines for restaurants to operate. Our team does daily temperature screenings of all staff. Every employee in the restaurant is required to wear a mask at all times. Additionally, Team members servicing guests are required to wear gloves. All tables are spaced a minimum of six feet apart. Restroom access is kept to no more than 1 person at a time.
At this point, we feel confident that we can reopen to the public effective for brunch service tomorrow, July 18th, at 10 AM. As always we are grateful for your continued support and look forward to seeing you soon at The Ale House.
