The Ale House in Columbia posted the following on Facebook today:
It has come to our attention that a member of our team has tested positive for COVID-19. This employee last worked on June 28, 2020. The team member entered the restaurant on Saturday afternoon July 11th to pick up their paycheck. They were provided their check and left the building in less than 15 minutes time. They tested positive for COVID-19 today, Thursday July 16th.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to close the restaurant and arrange for detailed cleaning by a professional cleaning company, sanitizing, fogging, and deep cleaning.
We will reopen when we can be sure all necessary measures have been taken. As always, we are committed to the safety of our guests and staff and we thank you for your continued support.
We will keep you informed of our intended reopening.

I am happy to see the business post information to the community and take the appropriate actions.
