The Maryland Department of Health reports 2,527 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Howard County (up 26 from yesterday) and 67,254 cases in Maryland (up 477 from yesterday) on June 29th.

477 new cases would be the highest number of new cases in one day reported by the state since June 17th (560 new cases reported that day).

The statewide positivity rate is now reported at 4.84%. Here is a breakdown by jurisdiction via the state:

Something to monitor this week: 15,497 people tested since what was reported on Saturday (conformed new cases and number of persons tested negative) with 804 of those people as confirmed positive…so that would make a rate of 5.19% positive. Nothing to sweat over yet but something I am watching as it may be tracking back a little higher than the past 2 weeks per my weekly tracking charts:

Note: Daily COVID-19 updates going forward will happen on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (unless something significant needs to be reported on the other days) during the week. Weekly weekend charts are on hold unless a spike in numbers are noted in the future in Howard County or Maryland.
