Elections results have been updated for the Howard County Board of Education in the 2020 Primary. Here are the results as of the the final planned ballot canvas on June 12th:

Here is a link to the results page:  https://elections.maryland.gov/elections/2020/results/Primary/gen_results_2020_3_by_county_14-1.html

So now we have our 8 candidates moving from the Primary on to the General Election in Districts 2, 3, 4 and 5 (We already knew the 2 candidates from District 1). We also currently have one write-in candidate running (Julie Hotopp in District 4).

Information about the General Election:

General Election – November 3, 2020, 7 am until 8 pm

  • Early Voting for the General Election – Thursday, October 22, 2020 through Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 8 am until 8 pm.

No idea yet if we will be voting in person or by mail in November. Hopefully life gets back to some type of normal and there will be a greater opportunity to vote in person.

I will be updating my HoCoBOE tracking page soon: https://scotteblog.com/hocoboe-in-2020/

I hope I can get the candidates to join me later this summer or early fall for additional podcast interviews and online debates.
