Today the Maryland Department of Health reports 686 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Howard County and 17,766 cases in Maryland.
Howard County Health Department is still reporting 661 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Howard County per their dashboard this morning.
Every Saturday I plan to provide a weekly look at some of the significant numbers related to cases of Coronavirus in Maryland and Howard County via weekly tracking charts.
Here is the weekly tracking chart looking at the total number of reported cases in Maryland and Howard County (Interesting to look at the total number of reported cases at the beginning of the month 4-4 and where we are today 4-25):
Here are the weekly tracking charts of the number of new cases for Maryland and Howard County (Officials think we will see these numbers go up over time as more tests are performed):
Here are the weekly tracking charts of the number of deaths in Maryland and in Howard County (I expect this will continue to be a critical metric the state will watch closely going forward): 797 total deaths in Maryland and 15 deaths in Howard County
Here is the weekly tracking chart of hospitalizations in Maryland (I do not have this data for Howard County)…(This is an important factor the Governor is looking as part of “Maryland Strong: Roadmap to Recovery“): 3,760 ever hospitalized in Maryland
I may look to add additional charts in the future as I obtain additional data.

A local blog reader has put together this really great and informative Google spreadsheet with some great data. Be sure to give it a look daily: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19a2ACAQVz_Vi2UIcD-byZXKttTmUd8js6-kd3qLO-Ac/edit#gid=280098391
Note: Daily updates going forward will happen on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (unless something significant needs to be reported on the other days) during the week.
Note: I am switching my daily COVID-19 tracking charts to weekly COVID-19 tracking charts and will be releasing them on Saturday mornings going forward. Both the state and the county websites have the daily numbers and daily charts.
