We have had some bad weather today with possibly more bad weather on the way before the day is over. On the BGE website they are reporting 1,095 customers with power outages in the Ellicott City area on April 13th. There are other minor power outages reported throughout the county.
Howard County government recently posted the following on Facebook:
WEATHER ALERT: The US National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington has issued a WIND ADVISORY in effect from 6:00 a.m. today, April 13 until 6:00 p.m. this evening. Winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 50 to 55 miles per hour are expected. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and tree limbs could be blown down, resulting in possible power outages.
PLEASE REMEMBER, if you come across a fallen tree in the roadway that is impeding the flow of traffic, please call 9-1-1. The same goes for downed power lines. If you see a downed power line, sparking or not, leave the area immediately and then call 9-1-1.
