Here is a description of the video on Youtube from Howard County State’s Attorney:
This video message from Howard County State’s Attorney Rich Gibson outlines the efforts taken on behalf of our office to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 while still performing our essential functions. Please note: Howard County District and Circuit Courts will be closed to the public until Friday, May 1st, 2020. This is subject to change
Here is the video:
Give special attention to the 1:22 mark of the video where Howard County State’s Attorney Rich Gibson states: “We want you to know that our office will continue to enforce and prosecute the criminal laws of Maryland including any violation of the Governor’s Executive Order in response to COVID-19 and any violation of orders for quarantine or isolation should that become necessary. Anyone who knowingly or willfully violates these orders or any other criminal laws will be prosecuted. We will not allow Howard County to be harmed by those who ignore orders that are currently in place to protect the safety and well-being of our citizens nor will we permit the county to become a safe haven for criminals during this state of emergency.”
There are additional announcements both before and after the item I noted above so be sure to give the entire video a view.
